“More than 35,000 people in Massachusetts are still without power Wednesday morning, three days after a strong storm knocked down trees and utility poles,” according to a story on masslive.com.

“As of 7 a.m. Wednesday morning, the Mass. Emergency Management Agency reported more than 37,000 people were without power across the state.”

“The intense storm that swept through the state overnight [Sunday night into early Monday morning] stripped electricity from nearly 320,000 people across the Bay State,” according to the article. “Lack of electricity forced some school districts and individual schools to close Monday and Tuesday.”
